Journey - Fauche
Fauche is a fairly large village on the outskirts of the Leogane plain. It borders the ocean and extends up into the mountains. This location is one of the older places that Mission E4 started its work. What started as a small thatched school room has now grown into a mini campus with a cinder block 10-room school. We also have a thriving church in this location. There is deep Christian discipleship happening within both the church and the school. Each day our teaching staff spends an hour outside of the normal academic structure to focus on teaching the children what is means to serve and follow Jesus.
This location will also be the first test site for a vocational school. We will be implementing professional classes in fourth through sixth grade. Each student will have the opportunity to learn a hands-on trade such as sewing, carpentry, masonry, etc.
Please pray specifically against the influence gangs having on the children in this area. We replace guns in their hands with books.
